Bunnahabhain 1966 Feis Ile

A beautiful deep Mahogany colour in the glass , the nose just oozes sherry class , you could say liquid Christmas cake in the glass , dried fruits ( currants , sultanas ) , glace cherries , lemon peel , cake dough and a nice dry sherry . The palate pretty much carries the themes of the nose on , very dry oloroso sherry , dried fruits etc etc , so nice across the tongue , a slight sweetness (them cola cube sweets….) that leads into a wonderful long finish of dry sherry , christmas cake and marzipan .

Mmmmmmm…… Old Sherried Bunnahabhain……. at it’s best , they certainly seem to know what they were doing back in the 60’s , not one bit of nastiness from the sherry cask so selection was good , i’d put up these Bunnas against any other old sherried drams !
