Islay Whisky Classics No.28 – Bruichladdich 10yo (First Edition)

Released in Late summer 2001 , this was released in a series of 3 ‘First Editions’ which included a 15yo and a 20yo all in a brand new packaging livery . It is vatted from 60% Bourbon casks and 40% Refill Sherry Casks .

Bruichladdich 10yo First Edition

Bright Gold in colour and bottled at an abv of 46% , the nose is very fresh , Bags of green fruit – Apples , Pears , Melon – along with Lemon and creamy fudge . The palate continues on the fresh theme , again quite fruity with Lemon Drizzle cake , a touch of Chardonnay wine and maritime air . The finish is long and warming and a touch winey (the sherry casks ?) and creamy fudge .

A very nice youthful Laddie , very refreshing , a totally different proposition from the previous owners 10yo releases .
